Privacy Policy

• Account details: your email address, name, time zone and whether you use Rubynox to get or sell data. Your password is never stored; we keep only a salted scrypt hash of it.
• Delivery set-up: the datasets, series, schedules and destinations you choose, including the email addresses you ask us to deliver to.
• Delivery records: a receipt for every delivery (what was sent, when, to which destination, and whether it succeeded), so you and we can prove what happened.
• Your activity: favourites, dataset requests, and a security log of sign-ins and account changes.
• Technical data: our servers record requests (such as time and address) to keep the service secure and working.

• To run your account and deliver the data you asked for, on your schedule.
• To tell you about deliveries, late sources and failures, and to reset your password when you ask.
• To keep Rubynox secure: sign-in protection, account lock-out after repeated failures, and audit logs.
• To decide which datasets to add next, using requests and usage in aggregate.

We use one strictly necessary cookie, rubynox_session, to keep you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure and holds a random token, not your details. Your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser's local storage. We use no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

We share information only with service providers that run parts of Rubynox for us, and only what they need:

• our hosting provider, which runs the servers and stores the databases;
• our email provider, which sends delivery and account emails;
• messaging services you connect yourself (for example Microsoft Teams or Slack), which receive the deliveries you set up.

We will disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell personal information.

We keep your account and delivery set-up while your account is open. Delivery receipts and security logs are kept for as long as needed to show what was delivered and to protect the service. Backups are kept for 14 days. When you close your account we delete your personal information, except records we must keep by law.

You can see and change your details in Settings at any time. You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or close your account by writing to admin@rubynox.com. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law; we will honour them.

Connections to Rubynox are encrypted. Passwords are hashed, sessions expire, repeated failed sign-ins lock an account for a while, and every administrative change is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Rubynox is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 16.
